Tom and Joyce Ismon remodeled this new-to-them home in 2007, with Lakeville Homes as their general contractor, Freihet & Ho as architects and Mary Hanson providing interiors services. Below are images of their completed home, an entertainer’s oasis on the shores of Lake Washington. This home is also our submission for the 2008 REX (Remodeling Excellence) Awards, sponsored by the Master Builder’s Association of King and Snohomish Counties–we are that proud of it.
More than three years since the property was purchased with two years of active construction, Magnolia Place is set to close out.
As Mercer Island’s only (unconfirmed) gated community, the 4-home plat has been the product of countless man hours by highly skilled artisans, care in construction and thoughtful planning. The third home was completed late last month, and the residents have moved in. The last home, a custom project, is under construction and will be completed in the early summer.
Seeing bicycles in the driveway, homes beautifully decorated when spied from the private drive and knowing that wonderful families inhabit their walls is why we do what we do.
Knowing that we help create a setting for joy to percolate is infinitely rewarding.
As we move further into 2008, Lakeville Homes is embarking on 3 new adventures. As we grow and mature, we are also learning to change with the times.
Going Green: We’ve been hearing about it seemingly from every direction the past few years. From biofuel to depleting ozone to locally grown vegetables, as our world becomes even more macro, we as a business and as individuals are learning to operate on a more micro level. As our contribution, Lakeville Homes has joined the Master Builder’s Association’s “Built Green” program as a builder. Moving East: Starting in 2008, Lakeville Homes will be building in Suncadia! Our ventures are taking us east of the Cascades.
