Seattle is #1

As we continue to hear depressing news from the national media and wonder where the proverbial “bottom” of the current market slide is, there is finally a blip of good news on the radar.  Aren’t we all praying and wanting for some good news?

The Seattle Times released a report yesterday saying that Seattle is the Best City (as in #1) for potential return on investment on real estate, when compared to all other metropolitan areas in the country.  So, although it seems like the housing market here isn’t doing well, it’s worse everywhere else.

That’s good news, right?

Really though, the article points out what we here at Lakeville have been promoting for some time: the job market in our area is diverse and growing.  And many of the jobs being created here require a high level of education and are well-paying.  This bodes well for the economic climate of our immediate area.
